Commission is 20% of the referred user's active monthly plan price. It recurs every month they remain subscribed with no cap or expiry.

Commission applies to monthly plan subscriptions only. Skiptrace credits, DNC lookups, and other one-time charges do not earn commission.
30-Day Clearing Period
Every commission enters a 30-day hold before it is considered "cleared." This window exists to protect against refunds and chargebacks. If a referred user cancels or disputes a charge within 30 days, the commission is reversed before it ever leaves the hold bucket.
Once the hold period expires, the commission moves to your Next Payout balance. Cleared commissions are paid out on the 1st of every month. There is no minimum payout threshold.
Commission lifecycle

- PaidCommission has been paid out (or credited to your wallet).

How Tracking Works
When someone clicks your affiliate link, a 30-day referral cookie is set in their browser. If they create an account within that 30-day window (whether immediately or days later) they are permanently tied to your affiliate account.
Your promo code works as a backup attribution method. If a visitor clears cookies or uses a different device, they can enter your promo code during sign-up to ensure you receive credit.
Once attributed, the referral is permanent for the life of their subscription. If they upgrade to a higher plan or stay subscribed for years, you continue earning 20% every month.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum payout threshold?
No. Any cleared commission amount (even just a few dollars) will be paid on the 1st of the month (or added to your wallet for Account Credit).
How long does my referral cookie last?
30 days from the visitor's first click on your affiliate link. If they sign up within that window, they are permanently attributed to your account for the life of their subscription.
What if someone uses my promo code instead of my link?
Promo codes work exactly like your link. A user who enters your promo code at sign-up is attributed to you just as if they clicked your link.
Why is there a 30-day hold on commissions?
To protect against refunds and chargebacks. If a referred user cancels or requests a refund within 30 days, the commission is reversed before it ever clears. After the hold window passes, the commission is yours.
Do skiptrace or DNC lookup charges earn commission?
No. Commission is earned on monthly plan subscriptions only. One-time credit purchases and skiptrace charges do not generate affiliate revenue.
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referrals are not permitted and will be reversed. Affiliate links must be used by new, distinct users.
Can I run paid ads to promote my link?
You may not bid on "Leads by Alex" branded search terms. General paid advertising that does not use our brand name is allowed. Misleading or deceptive advertising will result in immediate removal from the program.
What happens if a referred user upgrades or downgrades their plan?
Your commission is always 20% of whatever plan they are currently on. It adjusts automatically if they change plans.
