Skiptrace Guide

Skiptrace enriches a lead with phone numbers and email addresses using public records and proprietary data sources. Each lookup costs one credit.

How credits work

Every skiptrace lookup — whether triggered manually from the leads table or automatically via an auto-skiptrace filter — deducts one credit from your wallet balance.

Credits never expire. If a lead has already been skiptraced (by you or another user on your account), results are returned instantly with no additional charge.

You can purchase additional credit bundles at any time from Dashboard → Skiptrace.

Data returned

Primary phone

Best available number — mobile preferred over landline.

Mobile 1–5

Up to five mobile numbers associated with the lead subject.

Landline 1–3

Up to three landline numbers.

Email 1–5

Up to five email addresses.

Not every lead will have all fields populated. Data availability depends on public records coverage for that individual. A successful lookup that returns zero results still consumes one credit.

Auto-skiptrace via filters

You can enable auto-skiptrace on any saved filter. When a new lead matches that filter, it will be automatically skiptraced before your webhook endpoint fires — so phone numbers and emails arrive pre-populated in the payload.

Configure this in Dashboard → Automations by editing a saved filter and toggling the auto-skiptrace option. One credit is consumed per matching lead.

See the Webhook payload schema for the full list of phone and email fields included when auto-skiptrace fires.

Bulk skiptrace

From the Leads table you can select multiple leads and run a bulk skiptrace in one click. Each selected lead costs one credit. Already-enriched leads are skipped automatically — no double billing.

The history of all skiptrace operations (individual and bulk) is visible in Dashboard → Skiptrace → History.
